United States Breastfeeding Committee-Fourth National Conference of State/Territorial/Tribal Breastfeeding Coalitions

The Fourth National Conference of State/Territorial/Tribal Breastfeeding Coalitions -- Answering the Call: Coalitions Moving Into Action -- will be held August 4-6, 2012, at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.

The USBC is thrilled to convene this exciting conference once again, with a focus on implementation of The Surgeon General's Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding. As in the past, the conference will begin with an opening plenary and reception on Saturday evening and end by mid-day on Monday, followed by an optional Advocacy Day held on Monday afternoon.

Now that the USBC has officially declared August to be National Breastfeeding Month, the conference is moving to August! This will allow us to kick off the month with national events tied to the conference, while still allowing plenty of opportunity for coalitions to host and participate in events in their home states throughout the month. Many state legislatures had already declared the full month; now all states can enjoy the same extended visibility.
