Workshop: Infant and Yound Child Feeding in Emergencies - The Developed Country Context

Expert Dr. Karleen Gribble will address the critical importance of breastfeeding for survival in emergencies and the supports needed to protect breastfeeding and those artificially fed in disaster situations.

A First Nations speaker will inform and discuss the historical, social and economic environments facing First Nations families and the healing importance of breastfeeding for their communities .

Participants will have opportunity to discuss and work on developing a proposal to advocate for Infant and Young Child Feeding Policies needed for Canada.
