Purpose of Conference:
To inform participants of Baby Friendly Breastfeeding principles and best nursing practices on breastfeeding and skin to skin.
Participants will discuss evidence based practice and implementation of Babyfriendly in a healthcare organization.
Participants will review the 10 Steps to Successful Breastfeeding.
Participants will list physical and metabolic issues of Late Preterm Infants and how they impact breastfeeding
Participants will list protocols and safeguards that exist at their institution that support breastfeeding for the Late Preterm Infant and mother
Participants will discuss strategies to implement Evidence Based Practice and Research in Lactation and Support at the bedside.
Participants will discuss national and State breastfeeding initiatives, highlighting collaborative efforts between agencies and organizations to support healthcare providers and breastfeeding women.
