Women & Infants' Health Education Department presents their annual professional conference for nurses, midwives, clinicians, childbirth educators and those working with new families. Speakers include Anthropologist Katherine A. Dettwyler, PhD, Authors and Lactaction Consultants Lisa Marasco, IBCLC, FILCA and Amy Kathryn Spangler, MN,RN, IBCLC. Join us for two days of education, networking and fun, as we explore many of the issues pertinent to this segment of healthcare! Cultural differences impacting the breastfeeding mother, hormonal causes of low milk supply, breastfeeding management, and counseling the high-need mother are just a sampling of the offerings at this conference.
