Susan Luddington will provide a full day of information on kangaroo care. She is a Carl W. and Margaret Davis Walter Professor of Pediatric Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OHIO
The conference will provide the participant with info. about the origins of Kangarooo Care as well as the physiological benefits to infants and their parents.

The participant will be able to know the benefits of non-separation and discuss the effects of Kangaroo care on hormone secretion, neurotransmitter release, cortisol, pain, sleep and brain development.

the participant will be orented to the many benefits of Kangaroo Carre on infant physiology, state and development, and to maternal and paternal attatchment

The participant will have an understanding of the step by step process of Kangaroo Care.

The participanty will understand the benefits of the materna/infant non-separation microenviornment of kangarroo care in the NICU
