The three-day intensive lactation training fulfills the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative and US Core Competencies requirements. It is a wonderful refresher course and a valuable training for anyone working with moms and babies. Nurses often take the course to gain lactation knowledge while earning 24 Continuing Education Units. The three-day training provides an excellent overview of lactation and supplies the education and training a Lactation Educator or peer counselor should receive.

This interactive training stresses counseling and educating families on the importance of breastfeeding. Class Participants enjoy role-playing, exposure to excellent resources and practical application. This course gives an excellent overview of the following:
